the Sacky Shanghala is a Namibian politician and former chairperson of Law Reform and Development Commission(Namibia) since 2010, he now serves as the Attorney General of Namibia. The Act specifies that its recommendations can include advice on the repeal of obsolete or unnecessary laws in force in Namibia, on the amendment of laws to enhance respect for human rights or to ensure that Namibia meets international legal obligations, and on new or more effective procedures for the administration of the law and the dispensing of justice. ==Education and Career== Sacky is the son of retired ELCIN bishop Josephat Kashindi Shanghala.〔http://www.namibiansun.com/opinion/opinion.62691〕〔http://www.informante.web.na/node/2238〕 He studied at University of Namibia, where he graduated with B. Juris and LL.B. Degrees in 1998 and 2000 respectively. Shanghala has been appointed as chairperson of the Law Reform and Development Commission since November 9, 2010. He has been appointed for a five-year term, he replaced Utoni Nujoma who went on to become Justice minister. The Law Reform and Development Commission Act of 1991 states that a chairperson can be reappointed to the post after his five-year term has ended. Before that, Shanghala has been the special advisor to the Attorney General since late 2001,he also worked as an aide to Prime Minister Hage Geingob for three years.
